puddle is a mirror concept that brings the natural reflection of a puddle into interior spaces. Inspired by fleeting moments of urban reflection—on asphalt, between buildings, along the roadside—the design translates this quiet, everyday poetry into a spatial object by lifting the reflection from the ground onto the wall.

The shape is taken directly from a real puddle, capturing its organic, irregular contour with precision. The mirror has no fixed orientation, allowing it to be hung intuitively—however it feels right within a space.

Milled from a sheet of acrylic glass, the mirror is lightweight and shatter-resistant. Due to the material’s natural flexibility, a laser-cut wooden suspension system is glued to the back to prevent warping. This structure also creates a soft gap between the mirror and the wall, allowing the silhouette to stand out and enabling it to be hung in any direction. The resulting shadow subtly highlights the form, giving it the appearance of gently hovering.

„puddle“ is intended as a collection of one-off pieces. Each mirror is unique in shape yet the universal suspension system makes it adaptable to a wide range of puddle contours.
