companion is a lamp designed to adapt to a wide range of everyday situations – offering both direct light for functional tasks and indirect light for a soft, ambient atmosphere. Whether used as a standing lamp, flashlight, hanging light, or wall fixture, its modular form makes it a versatile companion for daily life and travel.

The design follows a radically minimal, tool-like aesthetic, reduced to only the most essential components. A rotating cylindrical head allows the beam to be precisely directed, held between two bent aluminum handles that enable multiple modes of use – serving as a stand, spacer, grip, or mounting loop for hanging.

Repairability and sustainability are central to the concept. All parts can be separated without tools, making it easier to recycle materials or replace components in case of malfunction. The electronics are mounted on an aluminum circuit board, precisely inserted into a Swiss CNC-milled aluminum head. This construction allows for easy disassembly while enabling the cylindrical head to act as an efficient heat sink for the LED, transferring thermal energy to the outer body.

A USB-C port and a single physical switch, located on the flat ends of the cylinder, keep the interface simple and intuitive.

Companion is a minimal, durable, and adaptable lighting tool – built for longevity and designed to move with you.
